Whaaa? Matty, I was in that store Saturday on the way back from the LOG meeting and didn't see it. Are you sure it's still there?

update on the strings thing...GC let me bring back the chromes and i picked up a set of Fat Beams, which i thought i would use as replacements on the fretted 55-01 i'm getting. Actually, better judgment got a hold of me and i put them on my fretless. The board is rosewood and it already was kinda beat up when i got it, so i figured i'd put an wtb ad up for another neck and have some fun.

all i can say is OMFG. I think i've found my new fav strings. :D They are 45-125 and awesome sounding, even though i'm destroying my fingerboard even more.

hey greg, i just emailed him to see if its there. ill let you know when i get a reply
Okeydoke, Matty. That store is about 45 minutes from my place (depending on traffic), and probably a little further for Doug. If they still have it and you really want it, maybe one or both of us will be closer to it at some point this weekend. I probably will on Sunday.

thanks greg ,thats very generous, i dont want you to make a special trip if its that far away, but if you do end up closer please do check on it for me.ive been interested in that bass for a while but dont trust GC enough to buy it sight unseen after what happened to mr.matt with that 4-94 a while back.if i dont hear back from my email to them i will call them tommorow

That's cool, no problem. I understand your concerns, for sure. Let me know what you hear, we'll play it by ear.

After seeing SuperTankers 44-01 with US Barts and Markus' 4-94 with chi's, I am gasing up a storm. I wish they installed chi's in the 44-01's :bawl: I really want a 44-01 w/ barts or nordstrand dual coils. If I could I would get chi's in a heartbeat.

actually you can, to the tune of about $1600!! after seeing that bass that markus bought it got me thinking, i called glen at bass specialties and to have basically the same bass made in a skyline version 44-02 based with the passive tone control and humbucking chi's. im waiting to hear back on how long it would take. but if im gonna spend that kind of money im gonna probably gonna buy a used u.s. model

hey guys...question for you all...I would really like your opinions. I am realizing that I am not a fretless player..lol. I am thinking about selling my fretless and getting something new. I have a JO5, and am thinking about either a 55-02 or a Glaub. Either one in 3TBurst with a Rosewood board. My playing is split between rock/blues/soul and contemporary Christian/worship. Everything from Lincoln Brewster to Israel and New Breed. Which way do I go? I love a good ole'P but a 55-02 is intriguing me as well. I will be keeping the JO5 fretted, but am wondering what I should get next! Thanks!

Hey guys this might be a longshot but anybody interested in trading their 4-94 for a SWEET US DECADE???? I go it in a trade I did with SQUID (76Dub) it is the same one he posted here. He needed a rig to go with his other basses so I made a deal with him for this Decade thinking I could find someone who wanted to trade me a 4-94 for it. I would prefer a Rosewood board and Lakland Preamp and PUPS but PM me with what you have...Thanks!

Now back to your regualrly scheduled thread already in progress....

Peace,

T
