Yeah, I'm with you on the whole bedroom vs live gig EQ disparity. What I'm dealing with now is that I find when I rely too much on the mids I end up sounding more aggressive than punchy, and I don't need aggressive for any of the music I play. I actually don't prefer a scooped tone, even for solo playing... must have been all that Jaco I listened to in my early years.

Sounds like we're close with the enhance knob settings... I know most guys hate the thing like the plague, but it seems to smooth things out and offer a new palette to tweak from. I'm just getting settled in with Eden heads after being an SWR guy for most of my playing years. Thanks for your input!

sounds like you need a glaub.

maybe in teal......

oh, and yeah i really dig the enhance knob. it smooths things out real nice. i assume the reason most folks hate it has to do with speaker cab choices. who knows?

good luck

my new dual j came in today, ill try and get better pics up when photobucket decides to work

Great bass! I love the darkstar pickups and they probably kill in the hollowbody! PM NUBS for a number. Awesome awesome.

Thanks E-mac, I'll give nubs a shout. Yeah, I really think Lakland's got something going on with the hollowbody/dark star combo. There's so many great usable tones in this thing. Can't say enough good things about it.

So, I was planning my budget for the month of March, and my recent acquisitions have somehow drained a significantly larger portion of my money than I had planned for. Short story, I'm totally broke, so I relisted the 4-94 (and other things) before I even had a chance to break it in :(

God, I don't know how I do it sometimes, but I really, really screwed up...

And the US BG5 and standard BG5 Skyline will be due?

you can already order US BG5s...the first one was shipped to Germany a couple of weeks ago and I hear there are a few more in the shop at this time...

as for "std" Skyline BG5 production - I do not know but I assume that since these are coming out now, it should not be long (until you can order one)....but I assume they will complete these before any "other" Skyline BG5s are completed....so maybe near the end of the year...

Although...Dan IS using this as a "test case" to check the demand for BG5s.....

on this subject, I bet we can influence Dan on the color selection on the Skyline BG5s!!!!

+1, Chi sonics are nice and all, but I'd like a P pickup on a P bass,

I'd like to try a P with a Chi at the bridge though....

have you tried the double CHIs yet? they sound phenominal and you can get a decent P-tone out of them as well as alot of other vibes.....just as Markus....he thinks the CHIs do a great "recorded P sound"....even live!!!!

oh man!!! sorry to hear that......we all do that now and again!!!:(

I'm not knocking Chi's at all, they do sound awesome(slapping them on the hollow, on the sites clips is incredible), but I really do prefer a regular P pickup in a P bass.

and I'd like to say that the bass looks so much better than the pic on GC. That blue is rich!
it is much nicer than the GC pic, they marked it at 5 stars for condition
id give a 4.8
+1000 Sweet ride you got there Matty!
