which one do you like
now I just have sell the chrome hardware

am i the only one to have any difficulty registering for the LOG? No matter what password I try to use I get a message saying to submit a valid password. The first couple of times i thought I was just missing something but now I'm starting to think my computer is mocking me.

and while I'm here posting I have another observation to make...

I strung my 55-94 E-C but I didn't get the extra long scale strings and so I didn't string the bad boys through the body. No big dealio but I had to say that these Lakland bridges are so bad ass (can I say bad ass on talkbass? I guess I'll find out).
Not only is the string through body a nice option but the looks of these bridges are so much sharper than other bridges out there. I even look at high end custom basses and I'm ruined because since I got my Lakland Lakland I think just about every other bridge out there looks cheap-o.
Minor, possibly insignificant and random observation but I was wondering if anybody else developed a similar penchant for Lakland Bridges since they became converts.

Okay now get back to focusing on my original question. I need a LOG account so I can save $$$ on the new LOG bass I must have.

I personally like the black guard. looks tough. however, if you decide to go with the pearloid, would you be interested in selling the black one? I've got a CAR 55-02 that I would put it on. :hiding:

I agree! I love the bridge and try to highlight as much as possible on stuff I'm designing for Lakland. It cool because you don't need to show the headstock to let the viewer know it's a Lakland.

There's a "US JO" for auction at the usual spot :p , that just doesn't look correct.
Seller states that it's a US JO with a BG neck... blah, blah, blah

I'm quite sure it's a Skyline body with a US BG neck.
Anyone else see this?

Cheers
Sean

I was under the impression that a US neck would not fit on a Skyline body. I have seen USJO's with vvt controls rather than stack knobs. That bass is/was also for sale here on TB.

Are you still having a problem? Let me know, and I'll make sure this gets handled.

Yessir! There's a thread at the LOG forum on this bass, a couple of folks with sharp eyes noticed the neck screws and string ferrules were consistent with a Skyline body.

I have heard that US necks don't fit as well, but I'm still of the belief that it's a Skyline body. I wonder what had to be done to that neck (or the body) to make it fit. :rollno:
I have a first run JO (signature headstock) that's a VVT, but that's not what flagged it for me. It's the body ferrules/bolts and the finish appearance. It screams Skyline.

In his description of the bass he states that, "He contacted Dan Lakin and was told by him that all of the changes had been done at the factory and that Dan would stand behind this statement." Maybe one of us could contact Dan about this particular bass ?

Ebodious already had Kirk confirm it was a Skyline body through the pics. This is covered in the LOG thread I mentioned above.:)

Yeah, Ebodious told the guy Kirk confirmed it. It stinks that he's not disclosing that. That said, the minimum bid still strikes me as a fair price.

Yeah, I agree that the price is decent considering it does have the US neck. If you like the Glaub neck then it may or may not be a bad buy.

As far as the seller disclosing it, he may have truly not realized and it could have been passed off on him by the original seller.
