Tracy in action

If and when they ever come out with a Skyline 5 string Decade, I will be all over it. The more I sees it, the more I wants it.
As far as I'm concerned, it could be a Decade, a Hollowbody, or a Glaub/Dunn. As long as it's a Skyline 5er that's not a Jazz (I've already got a JO5) or a 55-series (got 2), I'm on it.
Come on, LOG Bass!

This was taken the day they got the pickguard. It was not yet cut
GregC said:Really glad you're digging SC, Jedi. The Chi's are really something. Do you find you're using single-coil or humbucking mode more? Do you favor either pickup, or just go full on both?
OK, question posted for the third time for Jedi!![]()
), and the infinite number of combinations of all 5 options. But while I'm here, I'll post my two favorite basses right now.
Man oh man, do I love this thing. So awesome, so flexible! Wearing Lakland nickels since I got it.

This bad boy's been wearing Chromes since shortly after I got it off of eBay a year ago. It's getting a fresh set of rounds (nickel Sunbeams) for the first time this weekend--time to see how much it roars!

Sorry to steal your thunder Doug. This is his 55-07 last week when I was at Lakland. So yes, it does exist

My band has another track on our page, I used the 55-94 on it, as usual. I'll be using S.C. on some of the next ones, TRUST ME!
Track is called "Say My Name"..... there's something different about the bassline in the verses. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out...............???????

GEEZ!!! SORRRRAAAAAYYYYY!!! Just kidding, I've not been able to be on here as much lately, and have missed some stuff.
I only get about 2 hrs a week w/ the band. So, there's not a lot of time for experimenting. I HAVE showed 'em how I can get a Chi-flavored (a GREAT thing BTW) Stingray, Jazz, and P bass just w/ the pan and switch.
So far, humbuckers set flat w/ the pan dead center and the default LH-3 mid setting has felt right for all but 2 of our songs. One of 'em I'll use my fretless on, the other needs a little less "power thump" for lack of a better description. I'm thinking that panning toward the bridge pup a little will fix that. If not, I'll still have the 'bucker/single switch, the pre, the other pan options, the LH-3 switches to mess with, different strings (another thread in itself), and the infinite number of combinations of all 5 options.
When I switch to single coil, I bump up the lows a little. In single mode, the 4-07 doesn't have the thickness of my Decade with singles only. Not sure it is is just the placement, or if the dual mode Chi's can't sound the same as full single only Chi's.

I would assume the former.
