Randy:

seriously doubt it will be a "standard" since the necks are so different....bring he question and ask Dan on saturday.....also - we can "gang up" on him regarding the non-LOG BG5!

how bout getting him to do black hardware again...doesn't mean he has to do other colors...just black. tell him that's why i got my sterling, instead of a USA Lakland...because ernie ball sent me black hardware.

come next weeeknd...you can hear it yourself....:ninja:

maybe someone will record it at the GTG!

i was thinking about coming, but i can't take the time from work and i'm still in the process of saving for a USA Lakland. :)

or a "matching pair"...Like I said - let's "convince" Dan next week....

convince him to do black hardware. don't just mention it for the hell of it...convince. use that dougie charm. :ninja:

work is for the weak!
Play! play! play!*

*post? post? post?

wooo playing!!

i still don't have my DJ5 btw. the days/times i get from Leo are always off. i wish they would just tell me a date and have it done by that date instead of telling me things only when i call, etc.

tell em that's what they can work on, however difficult it may be.

Oddly enough, I e-mailed Leo about finding a fretless neck a couple of weeks ago. Originally I was gonna put it on the JO5, but have since changed my mind since I just love the tone of the Single Chi's with the MTD Nickels.I expected it to take quite some time for a fretless neck to show up, but he had his hands on one that same day...:bassist:

yeh - there was ONE there.....it WAS going to go on "my" cherry-burst 55-02....BUT got talked into the 55-94 (semi-blem/semi expertimental) bass instead...

enjoy it!!!

J4 - I know your frustration.....CHI delivery and other items are really "beyond their control".....they do what they can with what they have......looks like it MAY be there on the 23rd as you do not have it yet....may be intresting to compare a JOCS to a DJCS...you MAY have the first produced DJCS...Evan's was one of the first ordered, but .....well......sorry Evan - do not want to bring up "issues".....

as for you coming J4 - I know...just giving you a hard time.....someday maybe we will have something in CoLoRaDo...LoVe that StAtE!

Darn it!!! sorry guys....the links worked when I first tried them, but yahoo was also open at the time....

anyways - look it up before you go as it is not easy to get to...
The address is 2044 N. Dominick St--definitely plug it into a Mapquest-type site and print out directions. The nearest major intersection is Southport (1400 West) and Clybourne (a diagonal street). From there, go south on Southport (past the car wash place), pass the first industrial-park entrance on the right, and just after Southport curves, take the next industrial-park entrance on the right. Drive straight and you'll come right to the two-story brick building that says "A. Lakin and Sons" at the top.

if you use google maps to look it up you can use their street view to see the lakin and sons building.
