c) Include an Ampeg with every Lakland and a personal engineer???
I love the sound of a 55-94 through an SVT4pro/810 cab... it sounds like butter. So smooth and fat... it's like an 'eargasm'
Feel free to pass that along to Dan![]()
how bout getting him to do black hardware again...doesn't mean he has to do other colors...just black. tell him that's why i got my sterling, instead of a USA Lakland...because ernie ball sent me black hardware.
convince him to do black hardware. don't just mention it for the hell of it...convince. use that dougie charm.![]()

Ha, to each his own I guess.I sold all my Ampeg stuff after getting my first Lakland (55-94). Had a '91 SVT 3 and newer US 4pro and 4 Ampeg cabs (early 90s 4x10 and 2x12, and 2 410HLFs). I fell in love with a Carvin B1500, and a Berg NV215 and a Dr Bass 2460D. Now, I use two Genz Shuttle 6.0s cause they're lighter and sound 99% as good as the Carvin.
YES!!!! Convince him to do black hardware. Heck, I just called them two weeks ago asking about black hardware. And not just for the U.S. models (like Sadowsky). Let the -02 models have it too, and maybe a special skyline JO or DJ. That would be nice.
Ya'll know how I feel about Black Hardware--- bring it on!!!!![]()

LOL. Yeah, in the hybrid-amp department, as well as modern cabs, I'll take Mesa and Aggie over Ampeg all day.Ya know, I tried the SVT4Pro, and I never wanted to put my bass down so much in my life. Absolutely was not right for me. I'm throwing up in my mouth a little right now just THINKING about it.
Black hardware doesn't do much for me, really. I thought it looked killer on that trans-white/maple 4-94. Otherwise, meh.![]()
When I was opening the thread, the survey was showing 966 posts. When I opened, it was 967. I think we're finishing #18 in a few seconds
Remember, someonepromised Doug we weren't starting #19 until he's back, so the next one should be #18 pt. 2

Thanks, it is not bad indeed! Just got myself outside after a 400+ miles ride - drove my family to fly off to Austria. I'm not getting the Nord Schleife of the Nuernburgring this timenot bad!!! how big? like a Camry?

I was "wondering out loud" about a fralin P-5.....I KNOW they make sweet J-5s....
when is youor JO5 getting there? how did I miss that you ordered one?
it may sound like you're excusing but you're not. You shouldn't be!Lakland is located in a very industrial area....here is a link to a map:

It may look like you are in the "wrong place" but you are not...
the factory is located on the second floor of Dan's father's tire recycling business.
Darn it!!! sorry guys....the links worked when I first tried them, but yahoo was also open at the time....
anyways - look it up before you go as it is not easy to get to...
* although even DISCUSSING the possibility of appearance of a 5-string PJ skyline challenges it sooo much
