Just rehearsed again with my LMII Marco edition and a single AE210. Simply amazing. This duo is LOUD! I had spare power for days.

Vic, do you notice a lot of difference from using a single AE210 to using a pair? Does it get scary loud?

I might end up selling my other bigger rig (410 + 115, big and heavy) and getting another AE210. It might be all I need.

Ah, and I also have a SD800, but I've been using the LMII more there days.

In a word, yes. I really love the modular options, the fact that it stacks higher than a single 410, and also that they consume a little bit smaller footprint on stage (shallower). The downside is, dual 210s costs a LOT more than a single AE410, but since you already have one, it won't "hurt" as bad. :)

Unless it's really important to you to have a combo, I say go with the Bergantino. I think they are superior in every way.

Hey all, Ken Here. I fairly new to this site, but have been playing for 40 years of which 15 have been doing session work. I am an avid fan of Ampeg SVT for my loud rock venue playing, and in the past had a killer sounding Eden WT800 and 2 410XLT cabs that I wish I had never sold. That's past history. I've been really excited about the new mark Bass stuff out there, not only because of it's weight and size but the sound is awesome. I really feel it's better than Eden. Here's my question to you all. I'm seriously thinking of buying a Mark Bass SD800 and a 104HF cab to take care of all my blues, Country and modern rock needs. Some are saying it's overkill, but the venues I play live are from 200 seats to large auditorium, and outside state fair venues. I want a Mark Bass set-up that essentially will replace my old Eden set-up and then some. What's your thinking? I need all the input from you I can get. I need to get this Amp ordered and coming asap, but I don't have the luxury or trying out every amp that Mark Bass sells. If you want to sent me an email please do at [email protected] BTW, I will be going with a 8ohm cab so I can add to it, if and when necessary. Thanks for your quick response. I love this site. Hi. I have this setup, and I play a lot of blues and rock/soul. Works wonderful for me, but it sounds nothing like your previous Eden rig. The SD800 is cleaner, way faster and has wider lows than the WT800. The cab has not som much high-end sparkle as the XLT, and with a little more low mids. The SD800/104HF is a great match. Loud, light and cuts through like h**. Add another 104HF, and you experience that the SD800 is a monster...
If you liked the Eden-rig, I think the R500/CL104 or R500/104HF will suite your taste better

I have a MB LMK on order (should be here before the weekend) I tried a friend's LMK and liked it a lot.

My question is:
I have an old two-way footswitch that I might rewire to use with this head. Have any of you got an schematic of how the MB original footswitch is wired?

......................I actually got rid of my SD800, for a second LMK II '08 LE. I ended up playing the LMK II, and no longer using/needing the SD800. The differences may be subtle, but I like the tone of the LMK II better. The SD800 may be more powerful, but it still amazes me how loud you can get with the LMK II................Much louder than with some other "500 Watt" heads I have played! I am also playing thorugh 10" speakers, a 2x210 rig and a 2x110 rig, both work very well! You will probably be very satisfied by just adding the second 210 cabinet..................:cool:

I have an LMK on order and I've seen photos of units with different front plates:

It's the same amp. Markbass tend to release a special "skin" from time to time for an existing product. It happened with the red F1 and the LMII Marco special edition. I think you'll be getting the first one (no gold). A great amp BTW.
