Man, the club is growing steadily. Soon it'll be time for another mega-update.
In fact I have owend a lot of MKB stuff before, and I love their products.
With the R500, i think I have found my favorite head from Markbass.
It's hot and clear at the same time. Probably the best hybrid amp for me.

So mostly what I've been posting here lately is number assignments, so here's an actual data bearing post... how's that for a change?
Lately, I've often been needing to drive sub-4 ohm loads, so my LMII has seen a little less action, but I do still use it regularly, and I have to say, I keep falling in love with it all over again each time.
I'm pretty much exclusively Epifani these days when it comes to cabs, but I have several different sizes and shapes at least.
Mostly what I use these days is my S2 UL410 cab, and for lower volume stuff, I use the UL110. With either one the LMII just seems to do a great job of producing exactly what I want to hear from my bass amplified. I rarely have to move a knob more than one "clock tick" from center, except for the VPF. I'll crank that one as high as 10:00, but mostly, IF I use it, I'll turn it up to about 9:00.
Still stuns me every time I pick the head up and shove it in its gig bag... especially after playing through it... maybe even kinda' hard... just barely warm to the touch and light enough you feel like you should be tossing it somewhere.
Sure would be nice to have 2 ohm support tho... even if it didn't mean any more output. I just love the cab flexibility.

Its too bad it cant be used as a preamp to be coupled with a beefy poweramp. Then we'd have more options with the LMII. Personally, I just picked up a Carvin BX1200 which has tons of flexibility when it comes to different cab configurations. The LMII is my main amp, but when I need to go below 4 ohms the bx1200 is what I use.
+1 Mr. President...I just love the intuitive EQ and how easy it is to dial in my tone regardless of what the room is throwing at me.
I play through a Schroeder 1210 which is mid heavy. The VPF at about 9 or 10 o'clock cleans it right up. Most everything else is usually flat.
I have a friend that has a Nemesis NSP410. It does not have a tweeter antenuator and the LMII is perfect for that with it's VLE. It tames the "gank" right out of it.
It's a great tool and I would love to try it with a UL410 soon. Series I or II either would be good.

I generally don't have much use for the VLE myself... BUT... I have played through some of those Nemesis cabs, and yeah, that tweeter... ugh, that tweeter... however, the VLE actually would work very well to sorta' "patch" that issue. Very interesting.

My little piece of trivia: Jeff Berlin was in Switzerland last fall and did a bass clinic, to which only about 6-8 people showed up as they screwed up on publicizing the date. So a few of us spent an hour on the stage with Jeff giving us instructions. I was honored to be in his presence and awed by his playing skills.
Then I asked the importer (dealer) what's going to happen to those CMD 151P's on the stage that Jeff played on. He said they're for sale ... so I paid cash and brought one home with me. ("But honey, I really, really needed that amp urgently ..."!!!)
So my amp has a special meaning to me. I'm never gonna sell it. Haven't washed my hands since then. Insist that it sleeps at the foot of my bed, etc. It's like a dog to me, except even more loyal.
