I'll be getting the Mini CMD 121P in a couple months time. I tried it out tonight, so I'm pretty excited. It's so damn good and insanely loud for it's size. Pretty much a huge step up from my SWR.

Just ordered the rack ears for the F1 today at GC. $29.99
Just thought I'd let you F1 uses out there know that they are available to order now through GC.

I will post pics once I install them and load them into the rack!

You know, I love my LMII and am very curious about the CMD 121P, but I don't know...

I have serious doubts a cab that small can handle Rock band volume.

Now if you play rounds on a jazz with a pick near the bridge I could see it, but I play a P with flats near the neck.

Would the CMD 121P *really* work for me?

Is the tone low-mid or mid-mid pronounced?

Depending on exactly how loud, of course, but as a general rule, based on my past experiences, there's no way it'll truly satisfy. I'm thinking for the full rock experience you have to have at least 2 12's or maybe 4 10's depending on taste.

The Mini CMD121P will easily handle a gig that's on the loud side and will sound great in the process. You can crank it to pretty amazing SPL's and it sounds as good as it does at a lower volume. However, they don't defeat the laws of physics. You're right that it won't be as satisfying as having more speakers. But it's as close to satisfying as a single speaker combo under 30 lbs. could ever hope to get.

BTW, I have used mine with a P with dead rounds and a P with flats, and loved the sound. It's got fairly strong mids, both low and high, and they're easily dialed in or out.

I'm not sure I understand how this could be a question. The LMII has two speaker jacks on the back... one that's both a speakon as well as a 1/4" and then another 1/4", plus, most of the speaker cabs I've seen have two connectors, so you could just chain the speakers together, as long as neither cab was lower than 8 ohms, you'd be fine.

The speakon jack is only usable as speakon, not as both speakon and 1/4". You've got one speakon jack and one 1/4" jack.

Bzzz. that's what I thought. Then I read the manual, and then I tried plugging in a 1/4" jack into the Speakon connector on the back of my LMII. What do you know? The Speakon is a DUAL jack. It accepts either Speakon, or 1/4". In the same connector! Try it and see. Not all Speakon's are like this, but on my LMII, they are dual jacks.

Holy crap, it works! Dammit, I spent $30 on a Speakon to 1/4" cable when I could have gotten 1/4" to 1/4" for $8!

Love the Daion, also!! I was one of the very few endorsing artists in 1981 for Daion. They were light years ahead of their time and a damn shame they went under.......oh well!! Lots of water under the proverbial bridge since then :D

I've been a die hard Mesa Walkabout lover for the past 6 years and I might not be anymore.

I tried the Markbass 1X12 combo at GC the other day and was blown away. I would totally choose one of these over a Mesa Walkabout Scout: they're lighter, cheaper, and have excellent tone. I think that I might even prefer the tone to my Mesa.

Markbass has the ultimate small combo period. They're reasonably priced too.

I might have to join the club.
