Expandability with an amp that only goes down to 4 ohms. Not sure what the impedance of 6 ohms + 8 ohms is, but it has to be lower than 4.

It is lower. 3.43 ohms, to be precise. How much difference that would make given the fact that impedance figures are by their nature just ball park values is anybody's guess. Just sayin'.

Marty, totally digging the binding on that sunburst. How close to the MM sound does it get? Is that a really old bass? I haven't seen that logo since the lawsuit basses.

No, he is referring to MusicMan. The bass looks like a Music Man Stingray so he is wanting to know how close it sounds to a Stingray.... I'm assuming.

They're a little on the heavy side but IMO worth it. I play for 1-2 hours non-stop standing and haven't had any issues with it. My G&L 5 string is heavier than my SR4.
