Guy #2 says this site doesn't use ebates lol. Ebates site says the 6% only applies to a drumkit

Interesting. I ordered close to midnight Central last night, but haven't heard anything. I'm still expecting a long wait, which is fine with me.Heads up guys. I ordered one yesterday, fully expecting a long wait. I got an email last night stating that it has shipped, so it looks like the wait is one day, not one year.
~ A high nut slot is not a flaw, it's not really even a QC issue in my book.~
Cut me some slack if this has already been said, but is it possible that MF took all of Ric's seconds off their hands? With the number of QC issues I'm reading about, it seems like an awful high return rate.
I'd call one of 4 nut slots significantly higher than the other 3 a QC issue. And/or a manufacturing issue. Nuts are easy work though, & there are far worse issues to have with an instrument.
Good question. I don't think anyone will step up and answer it on MF/Ric side, but it seems a strange and out of character run of basses to me.

The nut slot heights seem to at least be consistent, so I dont know if its QC. On my first try, the E string was noticeably higher than the rest, but I think they were all a tad on the high side. Others have said the same that the E is higher... I think that its just easier to adjust the neck and string height to get inline with the ADG strings, and then you only notice the high E. Regardless, like you said, its a non-issue. If the fret was too low it'd be a crime against humanity, needing to replace and entire guitar for a fraction of a gram of material.
I ordered a MID last night for $1006, and was told there were 20 backorders (I was 19 on the list) and their system states the next delivery will be January 2013 FWIW
I meant to ask, did you specifically request the MG, or did they just randomly send it to you?

I tried to use the VIP 15% off code to buy a Les Paul Guitar tbat was already on sale for my son but it didn't recognize the code. Is the code no longer good? Originally when I used it for the $1006 RIC it said it expired today (Friday).
Toastfuzz said:VIP15MF? someone referred to it earlier and shorted it to just vip15, the proper code is VIP15MF
Yeah. I know. I used it for the RIC, but it didn't recognize it when I tried to buy the LP.
Weird... I'd give them a call, customer service has been on the ball, usually even if you get the runaround or get put on hold, the conclusion is they help you out.
