Official Orange Club II

Was considering a Crush 25. Looking for something I can jam with while listening to music. Something I can turn the volume up on in a small room.

They are nice for small rooms, but as a rule, always buy as much power as you can afford. That goes for money and for space. If you can fit and spend in a 50 or a 100, go for them. I used to have the 100 at home.
I now use a micro Terror or a Dark Terror and headphones. Or a focusrite iPad dock... Neighbours, you know.

God almighty do I love this amp. Wow. Picking up an OBC115 tomorrow and another sometime later but until then I have the 610 to shake the rafters.

So I went with the 2nd 115 cab and am loving it.
I do have a question now about live sound. I am doing a lot of reading and have settled on the Radial JDI. I thought you could use the JDI in line between the cab and the speakers but the more I read I see people saying to use the JDX. BUT, then I see others saying they are doing the inline DI with the JDI. Or is it just easier to drop a good mic in front of the cab?
In short my question is: Will the passive JDI do what is pictured below?

I usually go with a good mic in front. MD421, RE20 if you can choose one, I can do with Beta 52s and D112s. But you always have techs who prefer DIs. I have a pre-amp on my board for every gig where I don't care for a specific amp sound or for when I can have a wet/dry mix (read I almost never use it).
For typical gigs where the FOH guy wants a DI with effects, I use a passive DI with the slave out of my amp. AD200Bs have a post power-amp slave out, so you don't need to put anything between amp and speakers. I would go that way, even if you can use it in-line. That is also what I do when I can get wet/dry: Bass->Tuner->Preamp->FOH and Pedals->Amp->Slave Out->DI box->FOH. If your tech knows his stuff, you are not getting any phase issues.

I recently picked up a pair of the new OBC-112 cabs. I needed something light weight, but with great sound quality.

Gigged with them this past weekend and was very impressed. So much so, that I have a 4 stroke amp on order. Should arrive by Monday.

The 4 stroke 500 arrived.

Through the 2 Orange cabs, this amp is a monster! Wow!

This is an open box from MF, advertised to be in mint condition. It looks brand new. The only issue I can find is that the compressor knob is a tad crackly. I can live with that, considering the price I paid, almost half off retail. I can't wait until our next gig.
