Last night I got a chance to use my Orange rig at a rehearsal. And while I think it performed pretty well I think I may have to do some EQ experimenting. Being more used to the Ampeg active controls I had everything set pretty much half way up (gain, bass, treble and volume). Set this way, and using my 66 p bass w/ flatwounds I found that the bass didnt have enough bite. (Oh yea, bass settings volume about 40-50% and treble about the same.) Not wanting to crank the treble I dropped both the bass and treble setting and turned up a bit. I think it was a bit better but am curious how the rest of you set yours. FWIW, I play mostly oldies (Beatles, Stones, Animals, etc. plus a lot of Motown, Stax, etc. I mention so youll know the sound Im after.)
Have you tried with the bass, mid, treble all the way up?
I think the AD200 EQ is passive which usually means cut only.
Try the EQ all the way up then cut out what you hear too much of.
On my AD200 I usually cut the bass down about half way and the treble down about half way. I usually leave the mid all the way up.

Pedro, I have noticed the head is very dynamic and really responds to your right hand. If you dig in a little harder it should bite a little more and snarl at you. A light touch gets you very mellow tone.
Of course I haven't experienced your problems.

I also considered that the cab is low to the ground compared to the B15, MM212 and the Fliptop so that maybe part of it. I'll quiz the guys after Friday's gig and see what they thought. I'll also have more room and walk away from the band a bit and see how it sounds.
I haven't seen the schematic for an AD200B, but many passive tone stacks are "flat(ish)" at settings of around 2 - 10 - 2 (Bass - Middle - Treble). The tone controls are probably interactive too so adjusting one, affects the range of the others too.
And, in the bite affecting department, rolling back both volume and/or tone on your bass will also diminish treble.

But I'm not particularly looking for a trebly sound like Ox or Squier, etc. just want to hear the 'attack' a bit more.

That's what I heard as well. I prefer my bass knob be turned down a good bit lower than that though. That thing will blow you up!
You guys are making me want an OD200B. I'm still trying to get my vintage SVT fixed...I can't be gassing yet for an OD200B.
