Thanks man! I bought the cab to use with my pop-/brit-rock band and I can say it does perform quite well. Nice punchy tone with ability to tame the bassmonster quality of the TB. I have been using my Terror bass with Genz-Benz STL-12 and Hartke VX115XL (neither are mine) and both of those require quite a bit of tweaking on EQ - bass needs to be cut a lot. Not a problem with Ampeg.
I will be testing of course if the mini fridge is working with the SP212 and creating nice vintage-ish frankenrig :D

Having to cut the bass isn't too much of a problem - doesn't stress the amp as much. Bass frequencies eat headroom after all :).

I run it in 2 GS112 cabs - which can be very loud at only 95 db... Don't really like it at home - or I haven't found the right EQ yet (which I think is more to adjust the amp to the room instead of adjusting the sound), but man that thing sounds great with the band!

Firstly I have to thank you Tony for your comment about the bass frequencies and cutting the bass. Always thought that cutting bass freqs at bass amps doesn't make sense and haven't really experimented on that. But now, after some experimenting and wiggling, it makes all the sense in the world to me :smug:

Yes, so cutting bass isn't the problem. That was just the sound I was after, those ported 1x12" or 1x15" just didn't have THAT tight sound I wanted for poprock band. That little Ampeg does the job and man it can be loud. It doesn't really do the job for my metal band, but afterall it won't have to. Still waiting for the SP212 but I have to admit I'm getting kinda cool sound out of that Hartke 115 with bass cut to about 10 o'clock, mids boosted and gain at 12 o'clock.

Can't agree more about how great this thing sounds with a band!

I can get a ton of clean volume out of mine. I had tried gigging with the V4BH and could never get enough clean headroom - I have more than enough with the AD200B. The gain knob is very effective at determining your tone, whether it be clean or dirty.
