I can only run two of the cabs at once.... Getting an Ampeg PF350 to run the OBC115. I won't be using the whole rig for gigs as the SP210's and the OTB500 are enough for any gig!!!

I am using the TP500 together with a Warwick 610 and it can get ridiculous!!

Hello everyone.

I've been researching, auditioning in my search for a head and a few cabs (for different sized venues and different purposes/applications). Unfortunately, it's very difficult to find dealers who have all the heads and cabs in stock for me to audition. For the most part, not many are available for me to audition.

So now my attention turns to Orange amps and cabs.

I've been looking at the OBC415 and I believe I may actually be able to audition this one, in person.

First, what is the diffderence between the OBC115 and OBC415? Is the OBC115 simply the old model and the OBC415 is the current model? Are there any differences in tone/sound quality and performance?

I also have my eye on the Orange Smart Power SP212 Bass cab and I'm hoping I can audition both of these cabs.

As for the amps, I'm interested in the AD200 Mk3 head and the Bass Terror 500 Watt Head.

Now, I am looking for big, warm, round musical tone...but still get nice detail.

Would you folks mind sharing your thoughts, opinions/experiences with these Orange models?

I can only tell you about the Bass Terror 500 watt head. I've had it for around a year and I love it!!! It sounds very articulate and powerful, I run it through a Schroeder 410 and it is very powerful, hopefuly by the end of the year I will run it through a OBC115 and a Sp210!!! Highly recommended!!!

Do you ever have any problem with much too early break-up, grittyness or distortion; with this head?
