This style of jack seems to need replacement periodically. Try contact cleaner, but you may need a new jack.

Hmm..Can you take out the whammy bar?
If you can,is there a hole that goes all the way through?
Maybe you can put a long bolt through that is anchored into the wood underneath.
Or maybe you could remove the whole bridge,fill the recess with wood.Then install the bridge.
Can you get us pics of under the bridge or from the back of the bass? I have some ideas of how to do it in a way that will leave it reversible.

It's a "convertible" system so the bar is meant to lock when it's in rest position. Since that's not happening it'll need some help.
The 4 grub screws close to the bar,do they set how far the trem can travel ? If they do it's possible to fix the trem in place. Pull back on the bar and slip a piece of metal under the grub screws,release the bar then wind the screws down tight and remove the bar. That should stop any movement.
You've locking tuners so the nut really shouldn't need any lubricant but it won't hurt if you rub a bit graphite in the nut slots.
That would be a Tune TS-364. They made a 4 string and 5 string version. Fretless only.

I always put on gold/abalone knobs.
And Straplocks.
This bad boy is punchy!
Full and round!
And.....is a full pound lighter(9.6 lbs of ovangkol top) than the fretless(10.5 lbs of walnut top).
The D6 will be sold within a week.

Have to say, when I saw the pics, I also wondered what the odd things were on the bridge. I understand some don't like the headstock-mounted tuners (which makes me wonder if they've tried the D'Addario NS Micro), but moving to a bridge-mounted metal clip tuner...is not an aesthetic improvement to me. You've got a beautiful combination of wood and gold, further improved by the gold and abalone knobs, then put an ugly metal and plastic tuner on it?
