Is the neck as good as everyone says

It's better.

You find threads on TB where folk wax lyrical about how thin and fast the neck on Fender Geddy Lees are, those Fender necks copied the Peavey Palaedium . I own a Palaedium and the Tune TWBZ neck is thinner

how does the combination of the piezo and standard pickups work, would you say it resembles any other bass sound

The mini switch is series/parallel. Personally I never bother with parallel. I've heard the " another tone option to your arsenal" claim , in my experience you could flick that switch all night and nobody will notice; not even the sound guy

The Piezo preamp section is great. You can adjust each string's output, the overall output and there's a high cut ; this is before you hit the EQ. I find it thickens up your sound no end when nixed with the magnetic pickups.

Only other bass I've owned with magnetic and piezo pickups is the Peavey B-Quad. Tune TWBZ does not sound like the Quad nor does it sound like a Cirrus ; owned 6 of those.

The Tunes are original designs, treat them on their own merit.

Bummer. I spoke with him on the phone once when I was having trouble getting parts for my Tune. Seemed like a good person.

Any one have any info on this? Just got it, MIJ supposedly. I want to email Tune Japan, but all that pops up is the Korean Tune. This plays amazing btw. Passive/Active toggle, Series/Parallel(?), and I THINK V/B/?/Stacked T/B? Any Info would be appreciated.

Correction on the controls, it's Neck Vol/Bridge Vol/Passive Ton/Stacked T/B.

Saw this on digimart I’ve been keeping my eye on it, when the Yen to USD was too good to pass up I asked Danny at Bass Japan Direct to get it and send it to me. Cannot say enough good things about it. This is a high end build in every way.

Saw this on digimart I’ve been keeping my eye on it, when the Yen to USD was too good to pass up I asked Danny at Bass Japan Direct to get it and send it to me. Cannot say enough good things about it. This is a high end build in every way.

Greetings.
I have such a question. I get this bass recently. Can you share your thoughts about it's origin and specs? I e-mailed this question to both manufacturers (Japan and Korea), but they did not answer me.
BTW this bass sounds killer. I definately like it more than all basses I have now and had in past.

That's Japanese assembly from Korean parts.
Giveaway is the 25 fret neck.

How is the 25 fret neck a giveaway? Mine has a 25 fret neck and was made in Japan.

General rule.

Tune Guitar Technology Logo, all number s/n, slanted neck pocket/ bridge = Japan

Tune Guitar Technology Logo , all number s/n, squared pocket 25 fret neck/standard bridge = Tune assembled in Japan with parts supplied by WSDC Music Korea.

This Japanese assembly deal happened quite early , about 6-7 years into the company's lifespan. It allowed Tune Japan to concentrate on building Levison Blades.

Tune Guitar Technology Logo, s/n with letter prefix, squared pocket 25 fret neck/standard bridge = built and distributed by WSC Korea.

Tune Guitar "MANIAC" logo, all number s/n, squared heel 25 fret neck/ bridge = Today's luthier shop in Japan.
