Official TUNE Club

Hello everyone,

I just acquired a Tune Bass ! It sounds incredible but I have troubles to understand which model it is. From the look of it, It should be a TWX51 but the bass was obviously repainted and the potentiometers are made of wood. Also the bridge is very different from the usual I've seen on photos and the sillet is made of Bone.
I think it's Korean the serial number being S050511694.

Does someone has some informations with the ones I wrote here ?

Thanks !
Pictures would be helpful…..

Here are pictures of the instrument. I think it has been repainted as we can no longer see the logo of the brand on the head.

Hey all,

Have this beauty en-route to me. Seller says that she's a Japanese built Tune. Not sure of the year (maybe the 5 digit serial tells that?).

Anyway, she obviously has an LED system. The side marker dots light too. There is a 3 way toggle for them so you can turn them off, just the side markers or both the side markers and fretboard dots. Just thought it would be a cool bass to own....

That beauty needs to be played out! Preferably in a dark bar!

Question for you Tune experts....guessing this may have been a custom (shop?) order? Thank you

Wenge always has that telltale grainy, open pore look, as if it's been over-dried out... the bass in my avatar has Wenge stringers in the neck, and has that same look to it... also, Warmoth Basses used Wenge for years on their basses... it's a cool looking wood, and very exotic looking to me... great score... although it looks like it could use some type of finish oil rubbed in...
