Here in the UK Etsy prices are expensive.
To get any business he has to run a deal "buy 10 items, get another 3 free". It's a terrible model for folks doing handcrafts

Super nice bass! Thank you for giving me insight. I appreciate thatFor hardware, I just use a soft dry cloth. If it needs more cleaning, an old tooth brush (clean all tooth paste off first) with a bit of rubbing alcohol normally does a good job. I think the wise approach is to go from least aggressive methods to more aggressive. I've replaced hardware on two basses just because they got so nasty and worn out that there was no hope for them otherwise.
But the bass I've had longest and played most (see picture) still has all original hardware on it. I only use a little lemon oil or tung oil on the fretboard. The rest just gets a little cleaning with dry microfiber or a bit of warm water applied to a clean soft cloth.
The electronics went out some years ago and I could not get replacement TUNE parts, so I had a local luthier install Epic Custom pickups and a new passive system. It sounds different from when it was active, but I think it sounds very good. View attachment 5270670

Neither Tune Japan nor Tune Korea sell just the caps, you need to buy the complete unit.

I'm scared even though what that would cost. Sounds like to me I'll be better I'll buy a new knobs in not from tune. I've tried to contact him several times to no avail. They're not shall we say no customer service ugh

Tune in Korea really only deal with trade accounts. Their minimum order is $2k or it was when I had an account.
Tune Japan is a luthier shop running about 3 other brands from the same premises. Luckily that puts them in a better position to order $2k of knobs from Tune Korea
If I were you I'd forget both companies and go instead with Q-Parts in California, they sell some Tune spares

Yeah, I have heard that once they've been off once or twice, they are easy to knock off. So far, mine are all in place.
