Well, she showed up today. And I believe that she is in fact bubinga. Gorgeous piece as well, and the neck has zero wear and is damn fast. Sadly I don't think I'm going to keep her though. She is 9lbs even and the way she hangs gives me an odd angle to the nut. I've had this problem with some other basses recently. I thought it was the 35" scale on the other basses, but it is something to do with the horn position and body contours. Errgh. Or I've just become so addicted to my Rob Allens that I can't really adjust to much else.
That's too bad. My Special pastes right into playing position; but, I've had other Zons that didn't...
One down side to closing in on 50 - ergos win over most everything else. If the bass isn't comfortable to play it can mess me up but good. Then again the upside to closing in on 50 is I can at least afford to find basses that do fit me 
Please do describe further about the odd angle. Curious about this. I have a TJ and the upper horn extends to the 12 fret or so. I believe the regular Sonus's upper horn goes to about the 13th fret which I suppose moves the whole bass to the left a bit making the nut that much a further reach. Is the angle more upright?
The horns on all Sonus bodies are the same. Comparing what fret it goes to just depends on the scale length. But all of the bodies, including the TJs, have the same horn.

Should be delivered next week. Had quite a bit of delay due to namm, then faulty strings, but it looks great in the end! Glad I went with the black hardware.

My TJ's upper horn (34"-scale) extends to just past the 12th fret line, towards the 11th fret. It helps with balance in a manner I prefer.
I've kept away from the regular Sonuses as I always thought their upper horns were shorter and as I mentioned, would shift the body of the bass so the first position area would be that much more of a reach.
It's not just scale length that would determine what fret the upper horn goes to... the bodies on 519's are actually bigger and shaped a little differently than any other sonus body.
I know this because I bought a Zon hardshell case for my 519 and the body of the bass wouldn't fit into where the body was supposed to go, even though the overall length of the bass fit in the case just fine.
I talked to Joe Z, and he confirmed.
So, even though they visually look similar, there are slight differences in body shapes.
The 519's have a slightly wider body, I think, compared to regular 5's, iirc.
My 4, 5 and TJ6 all have the same horn length.

A little wider and little longer too... but not by a ton.
The upper horn on my 519 extended a little over an inch past the accessory compartment in the hardshell case I received, which is why it wouldn't fit.
Width-wise, it still fit... but it was the length of the body that was the problem.
Regardless, we're kind of splitting hairs here, because that kind of difference in length of the body in conjunction to the difference in scale, wouldn't make a bit of difference where balance is concerned anyway.
Actually, they don't (stock, at least). I'm sure that if I called Joe and talked him up - as well as offered him internal-organ like money, a 519 at 34" would be in the works... but as it stands, no one stocks them. That said, I'd be "happy" to be proved wrong - - though my financial situation might not be so happy...
As I said, they do. Call any dealer and have them order one. The "stock" price will be no different than calling and ordering one. They're set up to make them and have made a bunch in the past, so it's nothing weird or experimental.
