Ash body, koa top, undecided on hardware color, bart 3-band with the mid switch, 19mm spaced, 24 frets, 34" scale. Pretty much a koa topped version of what I have just with 19mm spacing.

On the Redwood Zon, man, that'd be a really hard sell for me. It's super light weight, and is one of the non-truss rod models that's just always had perfect action (never had any of those rare neck issues)... plus, I got it from Adrian Garcia, which also makes it kinda' special, and, if I'm gonna' play a jazz gig, where it's purely fingerstyle, the narrower spacing comes in kinda' handy.

That said, it could very well be the new one will retire it, and if so, I'd rather sell it than store it, because it should be played. We'll just have to see. I figure I'll get the new one November/December time frame, and I'll be looking at the possibility of selling my existing one after the NAMM show after I've had some time to figure it out.

Here's the Sonus Custom that I am in the process of trying out/possibly trading my Roscoe 6 string for:

I gigged it last night---I was just going to use it for a set, to see how it compared to my Roscoe 5's, but ended up playing it the entire night. If for some reason the trade ends up not working out and we have to swap basses back, I know for sure that I will be ordering a Zon Sonus in the very near future.

We'll see how quickly the revolving door rotates. Tetsuya has been in and out with a bunch of companies in the last couple years, hasn't he? I always wondered why he didn't endorse Zon, though, because he helped make Zon very famous in Japan.

I wouldn't say a bunch, he has been an ESP endorser for quite a while with a number of signature basses and then last year with Lakland for the 55-69. He has had a hand in most of the designs and some electronics as well, particularly the Lakland which has custom ESP/tetsuya pickups and preamp.

It will be interesting to see if it is a new build with Zon or a signature version of what he has been using.
