Here's another of me cradling the Sonus 5 in a Baja Snake promo shot. I won't let this thing out of my sight!

I just recorded a B. Snake session with it in which I really went outside my comfort zone and reached for some wide-range, chord based shifting textures with harmonics and the whole nine -- in an improvised context. The Zon gave me all the power, dynamics, sonority, and control I needed to make the most out of a hair-raising musical ride.

That sounds interesting ,we would like to hear it .Sounds like it was recorded how music should be - exciting and adventerous .
I keep playing my sonus thru this sonar interface with headphones .The bass has so much punch its bass nirvana. My wife keeps asking me why I was up so late - cause I cant put this bass down.

Ryan L I was checking out your bands video.Your lead singer is very attractive.I bet she can nail the Pat Benatar well .I always liked Pat Benatars music I think her husband is an under rated guitar player .
Vics bands singer sings real great in his Demo .Alot of talent on this thread.Vic I didnt see your Zon in those vids? or did I miss it?

Thanks mucho for the kind words and interest! The cut should be posted sometime late this week, and I'll share it here for sure.

I can definitely relate to the bass nirvana thing -- I can hardly ever put mine down! I dunno exactly how they do it, but Zon has *nailed* everything that I think is important about making a great bass.

I took a lot of musical risks here that maybe didn't pay off, but it was very wild and rollercoaster when I was actually playing it.

^ Thanks uber much for listening, so glad you dug it! It's really encouraging to hear that the transportative aspect of the music comes through -- that's just what we were shooting for!

I'd definitely love to hear what the rest of you cats are cooking up with your Zon boom machines!

Had this terrible string buzz that I couldn't get to the bottom of. Was usually when I was playing the D and G strings , but would appear on other strings also. It drove me absolutely nuts and eluded me . I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Even had other people try to pinpoint the cause wich I thought was those two strings. It had me totally stumped. Today it dawned on me it was actually my low B string( hello) it was buzzing like nobody's business .I use the B string as a thumb rest and to quiet it when not in use. When reaching down to the D and G then start digging in , I would unknowingly press the B string low enough to cause it to have this terrible fret buzz even though my thumb was on it. Never could figure that out cause the B string never buzzed when I played it and kept looking other places for it. Embarrassing enough but this has been going on for some time now and it drove me nuts. Never ever had that problem before with a bass. The top of the 5-1 pickup is a considerable distance away from the strings so much as I didn't like it for a rest. Looks like it will have to be the spot or I will have to watch how much pressure is being applied. Iam using just about spent hi beams wich seem to have less tension than other strings and that could have added to the problem . They probably become less tense after use. Just thought I would throw that out there if anyone had the same thing going on. Honestly it took over a month and a half of being stumped by this to actually figure it out.
