yah, personally, i think the vintage logo should always be on the legacy, and then the modern logo on the rest.I like the vintage logo; Joe should use it more often.
But, that would mean I'd have to get a Legacy made!yah, personally, i think the vintage logo should always be on the legacy, and then the modern logo on the rest.

So, I'll just float this, sorry if I've posted something like it before.
I've been interested in getting a Zon Sonus 8 ever since I read the Bass Player review back in 96. You know, last century. But I have not been able to put enough money into the "Zon 8 fund" to order a new one. I've seen two of them come up for sale in the last couple years, and tried to buy each. No luck.
So to this group, here's the ask:
Does anyone have a Sonus 8 that I could play just to see if I love it enough to really focus on getting one? I have read that they play great and sound great, but I really don't know. How much better does it play compared to my Schecter?
Yes, I am willing to drive as far as 5 hours each way to test one out. No, I'm not going to try any high-pressure sales nonsense on anyone.
Forwarding an update/review from a former TBer:

November 7, 2019 was new bass day for me! I received a Zon Bass that I had bought last year, exactly 12 1/2 months to the day.
I am completely blown away with the quality, feel and tone! It's a 4 string legacy elite, but tuned BEAD and weighs a little over 9 pounds. The bass was upgraded to an anniversary edition and also has the vintage Zon logo, which is very rare.
I am extremely thankful that I received this bass after a long wait. The bass is really just perfection, and I can't say anything more than that! It even has a hidden truss rod cover at the end of the fingerboard!
IMO Zon basses are the ultimate bass because they combine the best elements of a graphite neck and a wood neck into a single instrument!
Peace!

The Tech 21 pedal is the new SH-1 Steve Harris model, as one would expect from his TB handle.
Thanks, I've been watching that one, but even with frets, it would not be what I want. I'm looking for that classic Sonus 2-knob with the thin Barts. There was a red Sonus 8 that I bid on, but in mid-negotiations, he decided not to sell. There's a nice Zon Custom 8 fretless on Reverb currently strung as a 4. Price isn't bad. Just get it fretted.
Glad something is coming out.
Looks amazing! Keep us updated.
