Official Zon Club Part 5

Zon owners, I'm curious what strings you prefer. I recently picked up my second Sonus 4 custom and the strings on it were garbage. I put Ken Smith slick round mediums on it and oh my goodness do they sound and feel amazing. My other Sonus has Zon strings, but I think I'm actually preferring these Ken Smith ones now. Any other opinions out there?
I swear by Foderas. I love the light gauge. Good luck

So far I have loved anything LaBella. I am currently running their gold white nylons, but have used their regular white nylons, Slappers(nickels), and their super steps. I have also liked GHS progressives and pressurewound. The original Circle K/Kalium strings were really nice, but who knows what is going on with that company. I think for standard round wound strings the Progressives have been my favorite. For me, though, the LaBella nylons are something special.

I purchased it used. I barely have the patients to wait a few days let alone years.

I’ve never tried a Zon before. I purchased it because it weighs 6.5 pounds.
The neck profile is amazing. The action is lower than I ever thought possible 2/32 at the 17th fret. The tone is amazing. It has a lot of sustain for a bolt on. It came with 35 -95 super light strings. Fast, smooth and expressive. It begs to be slapped.

The strap button is at the 14th fret so my muscle memory will need retrained a bit.
It replaced a 7.6 pound Sadowsky nyc. The NYC was a great bass but this Zon is on another level.

I may trade it for a Sonus if the right one cones along. I love the 2/2 head stocks on them.
