Official Zon Club Part 5

Tom,

I have known for a long time that my Zon is among the "best of the best".
And I've played a lot of great basses, boutique and otherwise.

Coming from you, however, it's a whole 'nother level of compliment...

Played the Legacy Elite 4 at practice again last night, and this bass is quickly rising through the ranks of the "best of the best" instruments I have played. That neck profile is just so comfy, too! Digging it, hard! :bassist: :bassist: :bassist:

Tom judging from the pic's you posted, the action on the bass looks nice and low.
I was told yesterday that my Legacy Elite VI is suppose to be assembled next week and then dropped shipped to my house, honestly that term dropped shipped I think of my bass being shipped and then they drop it anyways we will see what happens, I've kind of jumped the gun a couple of times thinking my bass was getting done and getting shipped and low and behold there was yet another delay so we will see what happens next week.
I'm really happy for you Tom regarding your Legacy Elite IV, awesome looking instrument and I bet it plays like a dream come true.

Yes, the action is really low. In fact, I was tempted to raise it a bit, since I normally don't like the action set that low, but the neck is so perfectly true that there's minimal fret clack, even with my ham-fisted technique.

You are going to love your Legacy Elite VI! I can't wait to see it completed!

Where do you adjust the truss rod on set neck Zons?
I went from Sun beams back to hi beams a month ago .That and seasonal climate changes here had a noticeable bow and a bit higher action happening .Tightened the truss rod once ,not enough.Twice -went too far. 1/8th of a revolution increments. Guess I should have given the 1st tweak a bit more time to settle in(gave it four days?)

Same situation here. I did adjustments three times in a week only to find that my first try was fine already.
