Love it!
I had Elricks with pickups put in that position and loved it, except they weren't radiused. That location is where I often pluck over a ramp, so they actually got in the way whereas yours would be perfect.

Just picked up my first Zon Sonus 82xxx. It looks like it's brand new but I have read that these hide their age very well. I have an email out to Zon to see what info they have on it. 5 digit serial seems low to me so is it really '82?

I took it to the jazz workshop last night and it sounded amazing! low B was as solid as the baby grand. The sound often felt like it was in my head. So now I know why you guys love your Zons!

Went for a quick shop visit and I noticed a few things.

1) If the phone is not being answered it's because they are busy and considering the amount basses they are currently finishing it's just crazy..... They are really that busy.

2) Joe and the gang are absolute gems. Totally professional and hospitality to rival the best.

3) The time Joe spent on discussing basses with me was incredible and I am a nobody in the bass world.

Finally got to end by saying there are some crazy gorgeous basses in the midst of different stages of build.... my favorite .. a Vinny with a really really gorgeous Amboyna burl top... you got to see it to believe it... I will try to post a picture here.
