Im a new owner of this bass which I know has been posted here before. This was imported back to california from tokyo. I was excited just for zon to be able to see the condition of one of the very first basses they built.Serial number 030681. I thoughts this was the prototype original as I have never seen a picture of any of the other 11 that exist show up. Martin told me this one wasnt. This is sporting the new ray ross saddle-less bridge which was a direct drop in.. It was constructed wit and open option for 8 strings. it was my search for an 8 string alembic like greg lakes that led me to this bass so if it passes muster im going to have it converted by zon. with this being a piece of the brand history, im trying to avoid an invasive change. I have some gourgeous knobs ordered, if the 8 string conversion goes down, that would make this the first 8 string i guess ( by age). Im looking into fitment of the davinci tuners so they can be 8 full size. veners would be added to the headstock to cover any possible holes. I was requesting a bookmatched zebrawood headstock veneer regardless. I will need to find a good 8 string bridge. one more update is the control cover. debating if I shoudl haev this in an random color like purple heart or ebony or body matched with and acylic porthole so you can see through to the tidy zp-1 pre.

Wanna talk about leverage? How about "delete your warning thread and you'll get your bass(es)". More leverage was applied but I'm not at liberty to disclose those details.
