IMO,worst stand you could buy,accident waiting to happen. I prefer the Hercules,hanging stand.

I agree,traffic around instruments,make me nervous,no matter what you use.Either one is just as easily knocked over by a committed drunk. I use one of those smaller folding types and it's pretty solid but if I'm in a place where there will be foot traffic anywhere near the stage during breaks the bass goes back in the case.
I guess I'll just address a couple of things;
Sorry I offended some of you guys with my terrible prioritizing skills.
I couldn't really have laid it down (even though that's what I usually do). The cable was extremely short so it probably would have pulled everything down with it.
And for the record the word "horror" in the title was used jokingly. I know that a bass falling over isn't the most horrific thing that could possibly happen. Trust me.
