I love the big "stadium logo" on the headstock. When I was about 20 I got my hands on my 12-string bass I had saved up years to order. I had stared at pictures of them and just loved everything about the look...then I got the bass and it had the tiny logo on the headstock. What a rip!

Holy mother of marble bank foyer! That paint job is amazing. Definitely not something you're gonna see every day.

Hamer basses are pretty cool rock machines. Got some serious sonic kahunas when you push them. And the ones I've tried always played like a dream.

Congrats on a really nice and rather unique score! Play it well.

Nice score! That finish came on a lot of guitars back in the day. My old guitarist has a Jackson Soloist with a marble finish, but his is a satin matte rather than a gloss.

Oh wow. Had a guitar with the exact same finish some 30 years ago, when Hamers were "all that" or very close to it. Sounded great from what I can recall. OBLs, FR and all that 80s jazz. Can't say that I've ever seen - let alone played - a Hamer bass identical to yours.

One of my earliest music related memories was going to the local guitar shop and seeing the wall of guitars in all those crazy marble-crackle finishes. Very cool!

I like it. Crazy obnoxious loud retro glam finish and it is NOT ruined by a hockey stick shaped headstock unlike many similar specimens of this era.

I worked there as a finish leveler 1986-87, and I swear that I saw that bass or one just like it, pass through my hands.

I used to live about 1 block from the original Hamer shop back in the 80's the list of people who visited that place was amazing. Nice score!!

I met Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick while I was on my lunch break. I remember I was having one of my Mom's awesome homemade meatball sandwiches with some Fritos and Rick comes up to me and says "Hey, can I have some of your meatball sandwich, that looks good"... After lunch I sanded the clear coat of one of his guitars for a respray of fresh clear and then it went to the Hard Rock in L.A after it was put back together. It was a white explorer shape with The Beatles logo and images on it and it had red musical notes around the edges.... met some other famous people there and worked on a lot of guitars for many famous musicians... it was a cool gig for awhile. Some cool people there as well... fun times 30 years ago when I was 20-21 years old...

Thats beauty-ful, even for a pretty traditional old school guy like me. I love the shape of the Hamer headstocks as well. Not Fender-y not teradactyl-y nor banana-y, Just right with its own vibe.

Nobody on TB has more experience with the lesser known / more obscure / slightly older rippy type basses then Quadzilla.
