oh yeah Geddy doing his thing again

Hey all, I'm just trying to find the bathroom. Can someone point me in the right direction? :D
Actually, I believe everyone is over in the corner at the moment, pissing on Steve C...

(in case my weird sense of humour is clouding the issue, I've known Steve for years, and like and respect him. Enough already. This very minor disagreement is very much a third world problem. I think everyone has stated their opinions pretty clearly, and it's probably time we wind this thread down.)

I have a lot of respect for Steve. I think it's fair to say most of us do. It's ok to disagree sometimes.

Everyone has a right to hold an opinion. The problem I have is with people who think they have a right to pressure a person based on their opinion about what that person should be doing.

Fans can think what they want. But to give a performer a hard time over personal decisions that are undoubtedly difficult to make is uncalled for.
Agreed.

Nobody is pissing on Steve. Steve is by far a good guy, everyone knows it, and nobody dislikes him in this thread. He just happened to touch on a sore spot with me…the idea that if you really like a band and they lose a key member, the band should always declare itself over and anything else is selling out and should be stopped. That decision is the band’s remaining members’ decision. And if you’re going to go on social media and criticize them for it, then be prepared to take some blowback from those of us who believe you should let the market decide if it’s a good thing or not.

Actually, there's at least one casual Rush fan - me. A couple or three times a year I get into a Rush kick, but then don't listen them at all for months at a time. Never saw them live.
Same here. I sporadically enjoy some of their instrumental music, full stop.
