oh yeah Geddy doing his thing again

I state facts. You wish for death. Such the humanist you are...

Nope. Not a humanist just a realist. Don't wish for your death. Just seems as though you have a difficult time navigating this world with grace.

Karma, you reap what you sow, or whatever. You crap on people you will get crapped on. Eventually.

Sorry. To make this valid. Just stating fact...

Haha :roflmao:. Like that was the first time he overdosed. All people should be judged by the way they live, junkies and saints alike.

I'm sure you don't enjoy music made by anyone who ever used a drug. Drug addiction is an illness, and acting morally superior to people with an illness is a spectacularly bad look. There but for the grace of ___ go we all.

Getting the discussion back on track....

It is cool Alex and Geddy did a special gig for a friend. I would have liked to see Dave Grohl play the drums, but he probably doesn't have the skills to do YYZ right. Don't expect to see Geddy or Alex do a tour together or solo.

I can’t believe anybody still wants to listen to that. And in fact, it looks like not many in the audience do.
Yeah, I mean there’s only like 108,000 people there.
Yeah, the place is almost empty. No interest...

My personal opinion, they shouldn't be out doing Rush stuff. They have solo stuff and other projects. I just think it's disrespecting Neil's memory. I know bands go on after people leave or die, but they've always said Rush is the 3 of them. I have little interest in any "new Rush" music. New projects, sure.
Yes my opinion is maybe closed minded, but it is my opinion.
What a jerk thing to say. Really? Closed minded indeed. Seems in the last 5 - 6 years that's gotten to be a commonality amongst a certain type of people... And you're an Administrator?

I can't shame a guy for getting to play the role of one of his idols (and f'n nailing YYZ) from Rush.
Just FYI to anyone still reading this crap, Danny Carey and Neil Pert were friends and had a high mutual respect for each other. How do I know that? Danny is from the same home town as myself (Paola Kansas) and is a personal friend. We've had that discussion. Danny did that out of huge respect for Neil, not in any supposed attempt to replace him. If someone doesn't want to hear it don't bother watching, W.T. F.?

They should always play what the fans are willing to pay for. They are still RUSH even without Neil.

This is in tribute for another drummer who has passed, and they had a relationship with
So, somewhat reverent.

If only your opinion on it mattered.
