First off, I'm a huge Rush fanboy. And I can't image the band being 'Rush' with Neal. That part I get.
However, I really, genuinely don't understand all the naysayers and negativity applying that logic on *this* performance. As a reminder: It wasn't a Rush concert, or a Rush tour, or a Rush TV Special, or a Rush Anything. It was a Taylor tribute that had lots of bands (or members of bands) that Taylor loved come out and play stuff. It was an all-star concert with icons mixing and matching on different tunes. There was no Rush marketing, ticket sales, etc. Geez, people...
Geddy and Alex also played with members of Primus and the creators of South Park recently at the South Park 25th anniversary thing at Red Rocks. Again, it wasn't a Rush concert, it was one song at a bit of an all-star thing.
