Agreed! Oceans 11 is my favorite reverb right now. So many sweet usable sounds. The Mod section alone could be its own pedal and I’d buy it

i received mine, and while it was very nice, and had full low end retention, i already have too many chorus, vibrato/tremolo, doubler, phaser and flanger pedals that sound just as good (or better individually), so i ended up returning it. it's a very nice "all-in-one" solution for a modulation pedal though. i'm actually more interested in their oceans11 reverb right now.

I just picked one up, it's pretty sweet. None of the effects do any crazy sounds or anything but they're perfectly serviceable, especially on bass. The freeze stuff can get pretty wild though, I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's great for ambient type stuff as you'd imagine but I feel like it could work in a few different capacities.

For the synth oriented music and soundscapes i am working on it will be the perfect tool and the added effects will be handy without having to patch something else in line breaking the work flow. I had a Freeze years ago, love and hate and the time was not right.

So I got a question about experiences with it over in the PYPB thread, figured I'd copy it over here:

I like it and it works very well with bass thus far, though I'll admit I need to spend more time with it. They packed a LOT in a very small box, and there are certainly areas I haven't explored very well yet. I was able to quickly dial in sounds I liked for flanger, phaser and chorus (there is even a bass chorus mode build it). The other "traditional" modulations sound good, though I don't have a great frame of reference for them, and don't really use them. I love the tremolo, I can now get a square wave that can be controlled by momentary switch, and where I can set the speed by tap tempo. I have only toyed with the filter so far, but I think I should be able to actually make it behave like an envelope filter (I'm really not an envolope filter kinda guy, I'm mostly thinking about making space battle sounds by having fuzz in front of it :D). Everything plays well with bass, and I don't notice any loss of low end.

The only slight drawback for me was that when doing short bursts of effect (~1 sec), sometimes the pedal thought I was trying to do tap tempo instead of momentary, but that was easily addressed with the external tap tempo switch. I think some of that is my clumsy feet, some of it is the challenge inherent in having three distinct functionalities in a single switch...but I'm very happy with the external tap tempo solution.

You can disable the internal footswitch’s tap tempo function. To disable/enable internal tap tempo, unplug power from the MOD 11, press and hold the footswitch, then plug power back in while holding the footswitch. The LED will slowly blink five times if tap tempo is turned off or will blink twice if tap tempo is turned on. The MOD 11 saves your tap tempo enable/disable setting until it is changed again, even if the pedal is removed from power.

So, I just got one of these. It can do some awesome stuff, and I love the sounds. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it at this point, however, as the quoted behavior didn't work how I expected. The secondary settings are remembered, but the main knobs are not. I.e. if I dial in a sweet chorus with a given rate and depth, and then I dial in a great phaser with different rate and depth, when I go back to the chorus, I have to remember my settings.

This becomes a bigger deal because the "volume / color" knob does drastically different things in different modes. If I use a Flanger with a lot of Feedback (vol/color at max), and then I change to Chorus, it interprets that as "PLAY SUPER LOUD!" Or, if I use the Pitch Shifter as an octave down (i.e. vol/color at min) and then switch to Chorus, volume is at zero, i.e. no sound at all...

Considering the number of effects (which, again, are all wonderful) and the number of ways this knob can work, it gets pretty confusing pretty quick. I really don't see myself being able to gig with this. I could if I only used one or two effects, but then I might as well get the separate pedals... Would be a great studio tool though.

I realize this is hard to design for, especially given the number of effects this combines. It's less of an issue with Canyon or Oceans, as they're all similar effects. A suggestion: I have a Memory Man with Hazarai, and I like the way it switches modes. When you switch modes, it uses the knobs positions, but then you just click the mode/Hazarai button and it recalls a customizable preset. It seems like this could easily be done with the mode button on the Mod 11.

This is the trouble with this forum, I thought I was sorted for Chorus pedals until I looked here!

I had an EHX Bass Clone which was good until it stopped working (apart from a weird volume jump when used with a certain fuzz pedal), then got a Boss CEB-3 which is good but a more subtle effect. I slightly preferred the Bass Clone sound and having the treble/bass controls is good, but the CEB-3 has more control on the low filter level, and seems more reliable in build and doesn't do odd volume jumps with certain pedals - so I was fine thinking that's the Chorus pedal for me.

......but now I'm considering getting the EHX Mod 11 as it's the same size, has lots of additional modulations, not too expensive, has 'volume' (which weirdly neither the Bass Clone of CEB-3 have) and presumably the Bass Chorus mode sounds exactly the same as the Bass Clone in x-over (I see above the comment it is modeled on it) and can use the 'color' as the equivalent of the Clone's treble/bass control? - can anyone confirm that?
