Yeah...we're gonna need to figure out where it's going...since it's starting on the East Coast...kinda makes sense to ship from East to West(with at least a few stops in Texas!!)--so maybe it could end up with BassSaxDude in CA and he could be the one that draws the "winner" or auctions it for charity?? If, of course, that's something you want to do...

I don't care really who gets it or whatnot...of course if people want to donate it to me I'd take it! :D But honestly if someone can think of maybe something charitable we could do with it that is cool too.

Edit: I'm not trying to imply that I should get the bass I was just kidding...I seem to be misunderstood around here quite a bit sometimes so I am just clarifying. :)

And, of course, New Mexico. Maybe it can zig-zag north/south as it goes from East to West Coast. There should definitely be some coordination to keep the bass moving quickly.

Would it be safe to assume that each person keep it a week or two max?

I like the 'draw sticks' method. I am cool with auctioning it and giving proceeds to talkbass also. It's only ten bux. I blew that on a couple jumbo Hatch green chili breakfast burritos this week.

:hmm:

As for shipping and passing it around, I would suggest mapping out the location of all who get it and ship it from closest point to closest point.

That offers the cheapest shipping and the fastest delivery.

Sort of a coast-to-coast tour.

I am up for the signature.

I've done the deal with Progzilla who is graciously picking up the shipping on the instrument.

Prog you rock!! :bassist:

I didn't think there would be any dissenting opinions to have it sent to me first so that's where it's going. :D

It won't be here for the Atlanta GTG but I'll make sure some of the more colorful characters around town here get a chance to paw this beauty. We'll all post our reviews for all to see.

There is a shortfall of about $50 that still needs to be balanced so keep your donations flowing. I'll post the new contributors as they come in.

My check's already been sent out Hambone, so that's another $10 coming to you. BTW, I live in Cleveland, Ohio for anyone mapping out the areas.

The Wish is in the house!

We got the bass today via UPS. Only 1 day of shipping from Alabama. The surprise was accompanied by it's own new gig bag in a double box. To tell you the truth that's all this thing needs so I think I'll be sending it out like that to the next victim.

As of now, I'm planning on bringing it to the Atlanta GTG for all to see. It should be fun. I'll mate it up with my Ampeg combo.

I've already played it and been over it thoroughly. I won't give you anything yet though because I want to do it right. Don't worry though, I'll have a review probably by the end of the weekend.

Just a reminder to keep the donations coming.
