Changed GB Neo weight.
Eden's are Neo this year. Changed weight, 32lbs and web link.

Appearances. I think the term is "conflict of interest".
I'm building a compact 15" cab using the Kappalite 3015 that I hope to really nail these requirements - should be barely over 30lbs, similar bass response to a sealed 8x10" (i.e. not that deep but enough to sound fat) and will play almost as loud as a 3x10" or 2x12".

Went through the posts and pulled out the following recommendations and also added a couple of others.
Kept it 50lbs and under. Many of the vendors have cabs that have similar weight/sizes/connector types with different speaker combinations. I attempted to list the lightest ones. There are new "light weight" products coming out all the time so YMMV. PM with corrections/additions.
Whether the "old school" tone is there, that is the question.

So maybe I should just get a 115 like the bag end?
The lightest Bag End 115 weighs 44lbs. It comes with red carpet covering. I thought you didn't want to stand out? Your previous post stated that the MarkBass colors werent' your style.
It would seem the Dr. Bass 1x15 that weighs 36lbs might fit the bill. With a Shuttle 3/6 weighing in around 3lbs. That wouldn't seem to be too bad. If you put it up on a P.A. type speaker stand to get it to ear level and adjust the angle for best stage volume, I bet it would give you the exact sound you're looking for. Any Dr. Bass owner's out there to confirm this approach?
1. How much weight are you really willing to carry up 3 flights of stairs? Here's a test: find some weights,(around 50lbs), put them in a box and try carrying them up the stairs. (Don't forget your bass/cords/etc.) You'll be carrying probably over 60lbs. See how it goes.
2. How big are the venues you usually play?
I know, I really don't like that red carpet covering on the bag ends, but for me it's not nearly has bad as the BRIGHT ORANGE on the markbass. Of course just to be contradictory, I don't mind the Orange brand amps.![]()
But it's a different, cooler, orange. Really.
1. How much weight? Not much. Luckily I don't need to do it often, as almost every gig I do has a backline provided. I can always make two trips.
2. How big are the venues? Bars, mostly. 100-300 capacity.
On a fairly dark stage the "deep red" looks black, I wouldn't even consider the looks to be an issue. I can tell you it sounds a 1000 times better then the Dr bass 15 and is fuller deeper and louder then any single 12 cabinet on the market.
I used one for many years, sounds great, small package but 3 flights of stairs will be a workout!
Hmmm, for the same weight I could get a schroeder 212L. Options, options!I'm driving myself crazy thinking about this. I think I need to heed your sig quote and get on with making music...
Yes, you need to make a decision but w/o hearing the cabs it may be an expensive process.
