then i guess you REALLY hate resonant sounding envelope filters!

All my other envelope filters sound great and none of them have a volume jump when I turn them on... can you explain resonant sounding?

some filters have fixed resonance/"Q". High resonance filters are prone to volume spikes. this has been true since the Mu-Tron III. I don't know what filters you have but the Q-Tron is way higher resonance than, say, a bottom rocker.

yeah i think it looks promising. the built-in distortion seems to take the place of an effect loop, since folks mostly use that just for fuzz anyway
of course, i'll have to hear it for myself

Definitely has a liquidy, high resonance peak type sound to it which I dig.
I was waiting to hear it with a lower q but when he did it just seemed to make it too subtle rather than give it a more traditional filter sound. But again, with that many controls over parameters you can't really get a good feel for it.
I'm wondering if it really is as versatile as the controls make it seem since that video didn't really show it off completely especially since we didn't get to hear it without the "distortion".

I'm guessing it'l be closer to Bass Micro Synth prices, but I could be wrong. If that were the case I don't think I'd be interested.
Right now I've heard it do one noise that was pretty cool, but I need to hear some more clips (and ones without distortion) to say whether I'd really want it.

That was WAYYYY to slurpy for me. I'd like to hear it in much lower q and sens settings to see if its something I would get any use out of.
