Thought I'd drop into my local GC tonight "just to see" if they had any of these. Lo and behold...on the wall was a blizzard pearl/rosewood marked $599 with case. Needless to say I'm now the new owner.

I got one of those too. Even though I'm Assistant Manager of the Central Dallas location, $599.99 is better than employee pricing. I'm glad for all of you guys who picked one up. See, GC is not bad. You may have had a bad experience at one, but we're not all bad. We do have good deals and, my store anyway, has real veteran musicians on the guitar floor. What I really want to see is a Blizzard with a black pearloid pickguard. If anyone has a picture, please post it.
This one is Inca silver, slightly aged and darkened, but it looks similar to my Blizzard Pearl P, which is also slated for a black pearloid PG.
Just found one of these at GC that is 2.5 hours from me. PUt it on layaway and will likely drive to get it Friday. WOOHOO.
Threads like this make me glad I don't play 4-bangers very often. I'd have a P, a J, a Rick, an EB3, a Hofner, etc etc etc etc etc
Good point - I already have 8 Fender 4 string basses. I really need a 5 string instead. Whew - saved!
