OMG, OMFG....Sick Deal.....NBD

I went to the G.C. in Charlotte yesterday, had the sales dude pull all the Fender americans off the wall. He scaned 4 p's and 10 j's. All regular price.

He said earlier, a week or so ago, he'd had 2 come up $649.00.
I guess there all gone.

Almost walked out with a sunburst-rosewood-p anyway.

At Buffalo GC it was an oly/maple P bass special for $999 (I think)

I snagged a Blizzard Pearl MIA jazz for that price of $599. 2 hours drive each way, paid tax at the Canadian border on the way back home, and still WELL worth it (about $550 saved over purchasing one here, and the 08 MIA jazz is what I was saving for)

They had a black MIA 08 Jazz for $649 hanging on the wall too. Tons of Fender's seem to be on sale there at the Buffalo GC.

It was still in the box. Freshly opened for me. Awesome. Here's a pic of my new Blizzard Pearl baby.

I just came back from the West Palm GC. None to be had. They have many Am. Standard P's and J's but the only deal was a 5 string Jazz for about 800. The salesman told me they had ONE brand new Am. Std. Jazz 4 string for sale cheap (I think 6 or 700) marked down by corporate (he was mystified) that lasted 30 minutes in the store last week. That was it. All the rest are 999 and up. And he was putting clearance sale stickers up while I was standing there. They were knocking 100 off price of two red Jaguars on the wall.

Oh well. You guys lucked out.

Add another one to the list! You have to find a GC employee cool enough to track them down for you, but there are still a few left in the pipeline. I like the BPearl with the pearloid pickguard! that will be a must for me.

I wish mine wasn't shipping during the coldest days of the year, but hopefully it will be OK if I don't open the case for 24 hrs!
