OMG, so excited, NBD, Ibanez SRC6 Crossover...

Without the hassles of the trem bridge etc and other mods recommended online!
Well, the "hassle" of tremolo... that's a matter of opinion - the idea of having a trem is... you have a TREM when you want it!
As for recommended mods - the only require mod is turning the bridge backwards to intonate the low E. That's a minor setup thing - not even really a "mod".
Naturally, if you're ONLY EVER going to do single note lines on it, then the tuning problems of a tremolo are definitely not worth it - but then, you might as well get a "conventional" modern 6 string bass - they are much more adjustable for bass players and the sound will be more consistent.
Not trashing the Ibanez at all - I REALLY like this instrument, if I had a spare $600 - it would be MINE, but that wouldn't make me want to get rid of my Dano or not want a VI.
No different than having a 51 PBass reissue and a Soundgear 4 or 5 - they serve different purposes and moods.

Just got one 3 months ago. Love it to death but coming from an sr 4 strings.... it sounds too quiet and dint have the the punchy tone. It's more muddy and I hate it. I tried the battery and nothing. Will swap the strings to see if that makes it better. I'm even thinking on preamps and pick up swap .
