I agree with others who speculate at least one of the pot / knob assemblies was punched through into the control cavity. Not unusual and the fix is acceptable for a bass of this class. Let's face it - Warwicks aren't known for their resale value so who would be bothered by a repair like this? I'll give it a passing grade.

Not great looking IMO though.

Lol..probably because its one of the few Warwick designs I really like..the look and simplicity, but I have heard mixed reviews about the 3 stacked controls and two preamps going on in there..

I hear you and that's valid, I just don't feel the same way. There are a million Warwicks out there now, and only this one and the Steve Bailey have any kind of cover on the front. Even if it's just cosmetic (which I don't think it was, more likely somebody bashed the knobs into something and destroyed the wood around the mounting holes), it's cool and unique.

GDPR is't censorship, it is simply bringing dodgy organisations into line. In practice it means that organisations can't store and reuse your personal data for reasons other than the conditions in which you provided that information. So, for example, a large car supermarket chain (with a name that rhymes with Barnold Blark) should't sell your name and address onto scummy high-APR credit lending schemes.

I've seen "GDPR" used as a catch-all for 'computer says no' by lazy or incompetent people, however.

Guitar Center simply don't understand GDPR or they log IP addresses (or some other form of identifiable information) for reasons unknown.

So this comes down to playability and sound v. aesthetics. My ProM is my primary bass and first 5 string. The weight, balance and neck are just about perfect. Most everything else can be adjusted based on player pref. This could be a diamond in the rough - you certainly could gig it without ANY concerns.
