My beloved Corvette has a small 'face-plant onto a beerglass' hole in it, so just wondering how bad can it get.

A good luthier can patch that and stabilize, no worries.

TBH it's fine as is. I can't feel it under my fingers and it doesn't affect playability. But if it starts growing I might get it looked at.
