On stage fails

Mine happened about 1985. I was working as a keyboard player. The band was doing "She Blinded Me With Science" and they played it very well. Just as we got to the two bar synth break that begins the synth solo, our bassist (who also ran the light show with his feet) totally blacked out the stage lights. Complete darkness onstage. I couldn't see where the synth was, let alone where the keys were. I took a shot in the dark and my fingers landed on the wrong notes. When the lights came back on I played the rest of the solo fine, but the damage was done. I was so pissed!

Singer called out Gimme 3 Steps and the guitar player started Call me the breeze instead as close to a train wreak as we have ever come. The rest of the band jumped into Call me the breeze but it wasn't a smooth transition by no means. Second one I can recall is the lead guitarist during Hotel ca. played the lead in Bm and we play it in Am so yeah that was yet another. For me it was late in the evening 3rd set and my back was just driving me crazy in pain and I screwed up the beginning of Crazy Train yeah those few notes F# A E F# I forgot the E yeah that su*ked! Oh I have one more and the reason I now wear sunglasses during every performance
We were playing and the singer step back and kicked over the laser light and it landed with the beam straight into my face from about a foot away from me I was blind I couldn't see a damn thing when I looked away
just dots where the neck used to be I had to wait to get to a section of the song where my hand position was easily located on the neck and I just closed my eyes and finished he song that way. We took a quick break after that song.
