On the Air - First TV Appearance!!

Today I made a brief appearance with my friend and musical partner Whitney as we played an original song, "Good Company", on our local news channel.

It was a good morning, though I was skeptical at first. I brought my trusty GK cab and the soundman told me to leave it off stage. No in-ears, monitors or anything to help me hear myself. As a result, my playing was kept simple without any kind of fills. I tell ya, nothing challenges your knowledge of a song better than silence! But I do believe the song came out better for it.

Here's the video. Enjoy!

That is just great! I made my own TV debut last summer (local fundraiser). I discovered that as soon as a camera is pointed at me I go vacant. So from where I sit you get several gold stars for keeping your cool, especially with no monitor! Your partner has a lovely voice, too.

Loved it, Miguel! I especially like Whitney's vocals... the inflection, the rise and fall... very easy to listen to, no matter the genre.

FWIW, you my friend have moved up another rung on my respect ladder...

... to stay there, lie to me, stating it was only 'bass face' @ 03:25, and not an unintentional attack of flavorful flatulence...

(Miguel knows I'm kidding... Miguel? Whitney?)

Very nice ... Like my wife always tells me "You should smile more when you play like you enjoy it" .. I say "I'm grooving on the inside" ;)
