First I like it,NO I love it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now the teacher in me is talking.
You are holding back and I under stand that.
Your skill set is at the point you can open up that great sounding bass.
Treat your vocalist and guitar as lead and rhythm.
Now this is the part you can shine like a star.
1. Play bass with more dynamics and key off the vocalist.
2.Add more Pad in your playing
3. She is not a Metronome and that is where you can pad to keep the grove going.
Elements of your or her song.
1. FOUNDATION...BASS
2.PAD BASS '' You can shine in this area''
3.RHYTHM HER RHYTHM GUITAR
4.LEAD HER VOCAL ''Or you can add a bass solo to shine more.''
5.FILL BASS ''You can add a bass line to answer some of her vocal.''
I give you a A+ keep up the good work.

Thanks for the tips. I had to hold back because I had absolutely no way to hear myself. In a live situation, I throw a fill here and there without hesitation. My mentality was "what I do here will be visible to many, for a very long time". Had to get it right!

I enjoyed your performance. I also enjoyed hearing a G&L L-2000 being played in an unfamiliar context. Most of the videos featuring that bass, usually, involve heavy slapping or edgier musical genres.

I found interesting that the tone of that bass seems quite unique. It does not sound like a P, a Jazz or a Ray. It has its own tone.

Well done.

You did great! Wonder how the station sound guy would make out trying to mix something he can't hear?
