I'd keep my '74 Jazz body / '74 fretless P neck main bass.

I could probably do without the fretless bass banjo I made last year. It didn't quite live up to my expections.

Sometimes I may come across as a Fender hater. That would be inaccurate. I have a great deal of respect for what Leo did for our instrument. I'm what you could describe as a Fender 'non-preferer'.

I've always been one bass player. And the best one I came through the years is Sadowsky.

My main axe is an 82' Aria Pro II TSB-350. I've gotten incredible mileage from her. And she has the awe of many a'bassist, drummer, guitarist, sound tech...etc... etc... etc...

I couldn't be happier with her tone, playability, and looks. IMHO, and YMMV, she just may be the perfect bass.

This is not hard. I only use one bass so that would be the one I'd keep.

My last "one" is the backup and doesn't get used much so I could sell that one with no problem.

I would keep my 2011 MIA Fender Jazz Deluxe. I modified it by removing the original preamp, pickups and pots and replacing them with Lindy Fralin pickups overwound 8% to get a little more low and mids, changed the pots and capacitors and replaced the original black pickguard with white pearl. The bass is now setup completely passive. It was also a Valentine's Day gift from my wife and later that same year, she bought the pickups, pots, capacitors and pickguard for my birthday. So besides, liking the way it plays and sounds, there is also sentimental value.

If I could just own one bass, it would be a 5 string Jazz type bass. Sadowsky, Lull, Lakland, something like that.

Which is funny, because even though I own 12 basses, I currently don't own a 5 string Jazz bass.

That is funny, I think I'd choose the bass I don't have, too.
