opinions...best 410?

If you are into sealed cabs then there is only one choice and that is Bergantino, I use a NV610 that I push with a SVT II PRO and it sounds amazing and is easy to move and load. Prior to that I had a Berg NV412 and it also was sealed but in the end I guess I favor 10's, either way you can't go wrong.

I have a pair. They sound great, have a good variety with the horn (off/lo/hi switch) and can take instrument or speakon cables. Moving them? Not so fun.

I have a Berg AE410 and it was the best 410 I have ever played thru..... Until I played thru a Berg CN 410 T Bass San Diego
But the CN 410 is far outside of my budget!

Mesa-Boogie Vintage PowerHouse 4x10 for me. I understand they have ceased production on these. They are still out there, but I am glad I bought a second one when I did.

The tolex has held up fairly well considering the abuse it has received. There has been some fraying, but less than I would expect for a cab that has toured the east coast for 3 years now. None of the tolex has peeled off, but some of the edges have gotten a little rough. The overall construction of the cab feels seriously sturdy. If you have ever seen an orange guitar cab, you have a pretty good idea of what the craftsmanship is like, just with a black grill cloth that still somehow looks great. These cabs are pretty much zombie proof, but I always find myself wanting to use either a hand jack or asking a bandmate for help (especially with stairs). Everything is feels solid and very ruggedly built.

The tolex on mine have held up well though they've collected plenty of bite marks from three years of gigs. I picked up the slip covers for them and that helped (the sleeves bore the brunt of the damage).

You can get three distinct tones depending on the horn switch. Makes quite a difference, esp. with fuzz/distortion. I prefer to run the horns on hi on my stack; with two going it can get ear-shattering.

I really like my Avatar. I don't know that I'd feel competent to call it the best since my ideal tone may not be the same as others' and it's not sealed. However, I think it's pretty great sounding and you can get it covered, wired and loaded just how you like it. Also, the Neo models are really easy on the back when it comes to lifting. As with many bass cabs, the problem is finding one to try out. However...
