Only one issue in that thread, I do not agree with "Jim C." but to each his own.

But, glad ot see it was played.
That's different.
So long as you keep playing it.
Heck, my Precision will one day be vintage.
It's only 9 now, but I've only dinged it once and it's in a spot my arm covers.
Taking care and not caring enough are different.
But please, try and be a bit clearer, I almost thought you insane.
:D

How 'bout your Lorenzo, it's P-Bodied correct?

Just found this at a local shop and couldn't resist. Luckily I had just enough money left from selling another bass. It's a '90 MIJ Precision A/E. After cleaning off 19 years of grime and leveling the fingerboard I replaced the anemic stock electronics with a DIY piezo buffer and a Bartolini 2 band preamp. It looks, sounds and plays much better now. I'll be changing the under saddle piezo pickup for a better one soon.
With this one now 3 out of my 4 basses are Precision basses. I guess there's a preference showing...

What'd that fine thing run you?
It was originally priced at $750, but the shop manager said there hadn't been any interest, so he marked it 25% off ($562). I offered cash and got it for $500 plus tax. These usually sell in the $750-$850 range, so I made out pretty well this time. I already had everything I needed to do the electronics upgrades, so that didn't cost any extra and made a huge improvement in the sound. I ordered about $20 in parts and supplies today to make 4 or 5 piezo under saddle pickups and 2 or 3 new saddles to experiment with. This bass will probably be an ongoing project for a while. It's my poor man's DIY Rob Allen bass.

Is there an hourly rate?
:D

???
Ya lost me there... :eyebrow:
