P Bass Problems!!

I haven’t had a lot of P’s at the same time, but it’s definitely safe to say I’ve had “too many” over the years. Still love em though, and I have another being restored right now! I just find that the fender P is the best option for “plug and play” bass playing whether live or in the studio.

There's something about a chrome bridge cover on a Precision that just looks so natural. Every one of them looks better with that cover.

Thanks man, much appreciated. The red one is a killer. That is an 83 Fiesta red Fullerton Reissue. All stock aside from one of the pots. Crazy slim neck front to back. Plays like a dream. Cheers!
Looks very like the Pino sig bass.

This very week I took delivery of a Fiesta Red Warmoth chambered alder PJ body for a current project bass…

View attachment 5045120 View attachment 5045121 I think I may have a P bass addiction. They are all the same but also so different at the same time. Some with rounds some with flats. Pictured: 63 P, 72 P, 71 P, CS 58 heavy relic, CS 59 JM relic, Fullerton 62 reissue P. Anyone else have “too many” of the same model bass? Pics welcome! Cheers!
That looks more like a first world Pbass problem to me.

I see no problem here.

I like the one that was once a white body, and a rosewood fretboard.

I have a similar affliction ... I own 17 basses including 13 Ps and 4 Js. They include all kinds of variations of body/neck wood, hardware, pickups and strings but fundamentally, I think it's safe to say that I like my basses to be "exactly the same ... only different". I, no doubt, suffer from some degree of OCD (but am not worried a bit about it).

I’ve gotten a bit aggressive myself…

This is a very specific problem:

P-Bass FL (2).jpg

L to R:
'74P - the bass that reignited my interest in Ps 5 years ago.
'78 P - my 1st bass
JVG/TF neck, EMG model P, Nickel Rounds - a "loose" tribute to the '78 before I restored it: (sans badass)
'78 P - my 1st
Bob Gollihur's '71 P
"seated" Tony Franklin (VVT/GZR)

Prior to 5 years ago, I only had 2 Ps (that I've owned for 40 + years): The Wine fretlsess, and a fretted Antigua P.
Always loved the sound of Ps, just not me playing them - until now. ;)
