Have both, love both, keeping both. Thus, I vote carrots.

And, just to stir the pot for the actively vocal haters of traditional looks, I'll add that they're both sunbursts and they both have tort pick guards, too. And, just to throw an additional tank of fuel onto the haters' fire, my Precision does, in fact, have flats on it. So there! :spit:

This is my PJJJ. Yes there is a hidden jazz pickup inside that bridge cover I also laquered the Fretboard

I just ordered a car and if they asked me if I wanted the left OR right tires, I think I'd go elsewhere.
Yes, my anslogy breaks fown if you're a motorcycle fan, but in that case you probably only want to bring one bass to a gig. So there, you might be forced to choose one bass for a gig, but you could still have more at home.

My full answer is not P or J. Its P, J, a bass with soapbars, a bass tuned in D standard (sort of a second P) and a fretless. And another bass that's hustifying its edistence because it's the lightest.So, not one , the other , or both, but " a bunch".

Lest you think I'm just spouting the common Talkbass wisdom, I have no basses with tort.
