)I love the way a good P-bass sits in that sort of mix.
They're great instruments. Here's a review I did on a J5 #028: http://www.talkbass.com/reviews/sho...nti-basses-valenti-basses-j5-jazz23028/cat/13Classic.. I need to check out Vallenti.. Seems to be like a sadowslky in many ways...
Hey, I just noticed that your P p'up is just the opposite from mine? Anyone know why?I love the way a good P-bass sits in that sort of mix.
At the moment, most of my gigs are better served by the more "modern" sound of my ABZ, but there are still those times when only a P-bass will do.
I don't have the $$$ to pair the ABZ up with an equally good P5, but my Squier VM Precision V gets me into the neighbourhood for cheap:

Second opinion not really required in this case. P'up has buzzed badly since I got it. Had on Luthier copper shield the cavity and the back of the guard and did nothing to stop the buzz. Only turning off the P p'up did the buzz go away. All wiring is correct and proper. I dropped a note to Fender about the replacement/fixing of my P'up, but it is a weekend so no response yet. I also sent a not to EMG about a possible replacement and I am still waiting to hear from them as well.
